About

I was born and raised in Valladolid, Spain.  In the late 1990s, I came to the US to pursue a career in software engineering in the biotechnology industry.  My desire to bring entertainment and joy to others compelled me to begin writing fantasy stories and I switched careers after my mother passed away.  I'm passionate about the environment and love vacationing in sunny, warm destinations.  I reside in California with my husband, two kids, and one dog.

A few more things about me:

  • I love nature! I’m fascinated by the beauty and enormity of the physical world. All living things are incredible, whether it’s a flower, a lizard, an elephant, a sequoia tree, or a star!

  • What’s better than spending time in good company? I’m a fan of socializing but also need alone time. I find writing, reading, and meditating helpful in facing life’s challenges thoughtfully.

  • I love witnessing kids turn into young adults and then grown-ups.

  • Humor is very important to me. I can’t imagine living without it!

  • I always look forward to trying new flavors, having new experiences, and meeting new interesting people.

  • Chocolate is one of my favorite foods. I do not care for zucchini or Brussels sprouts. In general, I gravitate toward spicy dishes.

  • My desk is in a sunroom where I can be close to (and inspired by) birds, flowers, trees, and natural light.
